This Cello Concerto in C minor is attributed to J C Bach (‘The London Bach”), brother of Johann Sebastian Bach. The original score for the work has been lost and is thought to have been for another instrument, possibly the viola.  The version played here was edited and arranged by Henri Casadesus.

The work is in three movements.

This was the work’s first broadcast performance in the UK.

This recording comes from the collection of Patrick Saul.
