This Manchester Midday Concert from the Friends’ Meeting Room, was given in February 1972 by the Welsh soprano Margaret Price, accompanied by her husband James Lockhart.

Singing idiomatically in five languages, Margaret Price here demonstrates why she was such a formidable and versatile recitalist.  The creamy richness and power of her voice fill out each of the works in this recital, which cover a wide range of musical styles.
