The great tenor Jon Vickers talks at length about how he came to Covent Garden in 1956, about working with great conductors  such as Otto Klemperer, Herbert von Karajan and Sir Thomas Beecham.

He also talks widely and deeply about his views and philosophies, which lie behind his great interpretations of roles such as Tristan, Peter Grimes and Otello.
